Swaraj, who heads the ministry’s delegation to Israel for the first time, is first expected to travel to Ramallah for talks with Palestinian leadership.
She will travel to Tel Aviv next to discuss "and review entire gamut of India-Israel bilateral relations" on Sunday, according to a foreign ministry statement.
The foreign minister’s trip comes after an official visit by President of India Pranab Mukherjee to Israel in October 2015.
According to the foreign ministry’s announcement on Tuesday, India and Israel share a "close and multifaceted relationship." Swaraj's visit is expected to further improve India’s relations with Israel.
