MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Three Russian aerobatic teams are going to carry out demonstration flights at the Gidroaviasalon-2016 international exhibition and conference in Russia's Black Sea town of Gelendzhik, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.
"On September 20, 2016, the Russkiye Vityazi and the Strizhi aerobatic teams using Su-27 and MiG-29 jet fighters as well as the Berkuts using Mi-28N helicopters completed preparations for the flight program and moved to the Anapa airfield. Pilots of the Aerospace Forces will show their skills at the international exhibition Gidroaviasalon-2016 on September 22–5," the defense ministry said.
Russia has five aerobatic teams: the Russkiye Vityazi (the Russian Knights), the Strizhi (the Swifts), the Berkuts (the Golden Eagles) as well as the Krylya Tavridy (the Wings of Taurida) and the Sokoly Rossii (Russian Falcons).
