"A total of 252 shots were fired from Firtina howitzers, 80 shots from multiple missile launchers and 31 from tanks, 68 Daesh targets were destroyed."
Additionally, the Turkish Air Force bombed eight Islamist-controlled buildings. Ground troops removed over 1,000 improvised explosive devices and 28 land mines from captured areas.
The Turkish military launched an operation on August 24 to clear the Syrian border town of Jarablus and the surrounding area of Daesh militants, prompting accusations of invasion from Damascus and Syrian Kurds.
