Russia's Space Agency Roskosmos is holding a recruitment event for future space missions. As there is no regular school for astronauts in Russia, the only way to get into space is to participate in Roskosmos' competition. Such contests have been held only 17 times since 1960, and civilians were allowed to participate in them only twice, in 2012 and in 2017.
