Seduced by the false promise of imminent EU membership, Ukraine has turned the country into a staging ground for military and sabotage-terrorist ops against Russia, said Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) Director Alexander Bortnikov.
"Under the close supervision of the West, Ukraine has become a major destabilizing factor in the CIS. The actions of the Kiev regime have transformed the country into Europe's largest hub for the smuggling of weapons and ammunition," he said.

The biolabs threat is also exacerbated by the use of AI technologies, Bortnikov said.
"I am confident that everyone here understands that the sources, scope, and direction of its potential use will be determined far beyond the Commonwealth. Especially given the fact that advances in artificial intelligence technology increase the risk of bioterrorist attacks," Bortnikov stated.
